Family Photo Session On Kiawah Island

What a gorgeous evening this was for the Singleton Family! Abby and Ryan booked a photo session for their son, Camden, while they visited Kiawah Island. Camden just turned 2 years old and was so much fun to photograph!

Camden was all smiles!

I love to get all different variety of photos during a session. When I photograph a family group I am sure to capture the children with each parent, and individuals as well.

While I love taking posed portraits, the candids are always my favorite! Often I try to get families into a certain pose and then suggest ‘tickle time' to get some natural smiles and fun moments!

The best family photo sessions are the ones where parents are willing to be playful with their children!

Especially with little children, I love to document the details. Kids don’t stay kids forever and every stage of growth is so beautiful and meaningful. Camden was very curious about the sand and rocks. He was having a blast just letting the sand blow in the wind over and over again!

Towards the end of the session the sun was setting and the entire sky lit up bright orange with the glowing orange sun. It was one of the prettiest sunsets I’ve seen in awhile!

And then in the opposite side of the sky there was a gorgeous rainbow! Abby mentioned that the day Camden was born there was a rainbow in the sky too! So it was like a special rainbow gift for Camden’s birthday!
