A note from Melissa
Hi There!
Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know a little more about me and my business. I can’t wait to get to know you! When I don’t have a camera in my hand you can typically find me chilling at the beach, biking around my neighborhood, hanging with my husband and three lap dogs, Mabel, Queenie, and Chloe, (and usually an extra foster dog!) or doing home improvement projects for our property investing business @HouseThingsAndStuff.
Photography truly is my passion and I am so grateful that I have amazing clients who entrust me to document the most important and special moments in life. I especially love photographing families and couples- there are so many moments of joy, playfulness, and silliness. Whether this is the most important day of your life, or a special celebration of your loved ones, I am delighted to have the opportunity to document your moments and your love. XO, Melissa

About The Business
I am a professional full-time photographer based in Mount Pleasant, SC servicing families and couples with photography throughout the local area including Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, Isle of Palms, Kiawah Island and Seabrook Island. I originally found my passion for creativity early in life when I formally studied photography by attending the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, PA. Immediately after college in 2010, I focused on mastering my craft by making photography a full-time career, working as a studio manager and freelance photographer for a local studio. In 2015 I started my own business and I now specialize in what inspires me the most- intimate weddings, elopements, and lifestyle family photography on the beach.

Property Investing
My entrepreneurial spirit could never settle for only having one business to pour my creative energy into, so in 2020 my husband and I began property investing. We have owned short-term and mid-term rentals as well as a rural barn wedding venue. Currently, we are focusing on “live-in-flip” investing where we purchase a home, live in it while making improvements, and then sell it within about 1-2 years.
You can follow along our journey on IG @HouseThingsAndStuff where we share behind the scenes, interior design, DIY’s, thrifting, and tips for property investing! We love to connect with others who have an interest in all things real estate & design so don’t hesitate to reach out!
