Amanda and Michael's Wedding at 20 South Battery and Charlestowne Landing
Amanda and Michael got married on March 30th 2021 at Charlestowne Landing.
Before the ceremony, Amanda got ready with her daughter and mom at, 20 South Battery, a boutique historical hotel in downtown Charleston.
Amanda wanted some special photos of her and her daughter, Hadley before the wedding.
Michael and Amanda opted to do a ‘first look’ at 20 South Battery on the piazza. Michael’s expression was priceless when he saw his beautiful bride for the first time!
We went inside the hotel for a few intimate photos at the grand staircase.
Upstairs, Michael and Hadley did their own first look as well! Amanda said that ‘she adores Michael’.
We walked down Meeting street for a few photos with the scenic window boxes and Charleston historic houses. Running into a small snafu with another one of the wedding vendors, we ended up having a little extra time to kill downtown before heading over to Charlestowne Landing for the ceremony.
It was the perfect situation to happen though because it allowed us just enough time to venture a little further than we had planned and capture these beautiful images at the iconic wisteria gate- which was just blossoming! If you aren’t familiar with wisteria, it only blooms for about 2 weeks, once/ year.
At Charlestowne Landing, with Legare Waring House in the background, Amanda walked down the aisle with her daughter and father by her side.
They exchanged vows and rings under the Avenue of Oaks.
In Amanda’s vows, she mentioned that they had known each other since they were 9 years old, and admitted that her dad had always loved Michael and would say “What about that kid Michael…?” suggesting they date. Father’s know best ;)
Amanda’s dad closed the ceremony with a special prayer that brought tears to her mother’s eyes.
As soon as they kissed, Amanda’s daughter ran up to hug them. Such a special moment for their family.
Signing the marriage license to ACTUALLY make it official!
