Your wedding day is the most special day of your life. When you first get engaged, you are filled with excitement and love. You begin dreaming about all the fun you will have with your wedding and the life you will share with your partner. Then wedding planning hits…..uh-oh!
During the wedding planning, it’s easy to slip into ‘wedding stress’ and get caught up in all the planning details. There are unique family dynamics and it can be difficult to stay focused. The pressure to please everyone is real. I TOTALLY understand. However, let me remind you WHAT THIS DAY IS ALL ABOUT.
Your wedding consists of two parts. The ceremony and the celebration. The ceremony signifies the unity of two. Joining two, and becoming one. One love. One marriage. One day. You and your partner get to stand side by side and vow to share your lives with each other. That is a pretty big deal. And a pretty awesome moment. The celebration is a time for your family and friends to join you in supporting your marriage and to share their joy and love for your special time.
One thing I have learned after shooting hundreds of weddings over the years, is that it’s never worth it to waste energy on your wedding day (or the months leading up to it) by being in a bad mood. This is YOUR DAY. Enjoy it. The whole process. It’s a time of transition. It’s a time of planning. But most of all, it’s a time of celebration! I specialize in photographing simple weddings for couples who cherish what the day is really all about.
My job is to capture the love, joy, passion, and friendship that makes your partnership unique. This is your moment, your celebration, your story. I am here for you to document it and to celebrate with you!
